Data analyst

The data analyst will work closely with TCW Strategies’ clients to help them adopt and leverage a “modern data stack” to track metrics and find strategic insights. Our clients utilize various canvassing tools, CRMs, and communications platforms to acquire and engage with their members, potential members, and activists; the data analyst will work with the raw data from these platforms to create data models and dashboards that can be used to track and analyze key metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Work with TCW Strategies’ clients to define key metrics to monitor performance and improve processes, such as metrics related to membership growth and engagement
  • Clean, structure, and combine data in TCW Strategies’ data warehouse to power reports, dashboards, and analysis
  • Build powerful and flexible dashboards and visualizations for our clients to explore their data and metrics
  • Conduct proactive data analysis to find valuable insights for clients and communicate these findings
  • Partner with and advise TCW Strategies’ clients on data strategy, including data collection and experiment design. Help these organizations level up their capacity to utilize data from end-to-end.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience managing and using a modern data warehouse (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, etc.)
  • Experience creating and managing data models with SQL; experience with dbt a plus
  • Experience building business intelligence dashboards and reports with tools such as Tableau, Looker, Looker Studio, PowerBI, or others.

Not Required, but great if you have…

  • Experience with a statistical scripting language (Python or R)
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure)
  • Experience working with labor unions or progressive organizations

Compensation & Benefits

  • This position offers a competitive salary beginning at $80k annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and geography.
  • Additionally, the company provides a monthly stipend to cover health and dental benefits
  • TCW Strategies is a remote workplace. There will be occasional in-person meetings at the expense of the company.
